The Cap City Biohackers will continue their citizen science water monitoring events this year with Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (FLOW). Our group will be testing a tributary site, along the Olentangy River, during the months of June-September. This is part of a nationwide citizen science project through the EPA that allows the community to monitor water and habitat quality within their region. With this you will learn about the different types of pollution, methods for assessing water chemistry, and macroinvertebrate identification. On Saturday June 16th, we will be kicking off the season at Glen Echo. All members and non-members are welcome! We will be meeting at Lucky's Market Columbus and will carpool to the site. Feel free to call Jess (330-418-5343) or David (937-416-2888) if you have questions that morning.Just as a reminder, in order to host the event, we need to be rain-free for 24 hours prior so stay tuned!
